Laughter Heals All

So it's no surprise that I love to laugh or to be around laughter and tonight was no different. The master's conducting students had their final and it was to conduct the 1920s musical No, No Nanette. We did a concert version and it was a lot of fun, especially because it brought out an older crowd who got all the jokes which we had no idea were jokes in the first place! ANYWAYS---the laughter was needed because I had a fatty dress fiasco. Right, and I mean RIGHT as I was about to walk out the door the zipper split on my gown. Awesome. So I had to rummage around for another one and change the jewelry and shoes, too. UGH. Good times. However, it was also a friend's birthday so the night ended great with a fun show and then drinks for the birthday girl.

Grate, Great, Grate:

  • Inside jokes.
  • Aussie Rules Football. It was on the TV at the bar we were and I was MESMERIZED. They are hot, hot, hot MEN who put rugby players to shame. I'm not into sports, but I would be for them!
  • Friends who pay for your meal and Lemondrop Martini.
  • Stuffing your face after a show. It's the best.
  • Getting money you weren't expecting.
  • Guys singing. It is irresistible. There was such good singing tonight at the show that there were a couple of times I wanted to take off my dress and throw myself at them...but I'm a classy girl, so, you know.
Good night and I realize it's now Saturday...but it's still Friday to me!
