Day 9

It's another day of storms here. I know I should be frustrated because the storm is crazy enough that it isn't advisable to leave the house, but it's so beautiful that I'm enjoying it. True, I've been lazy the past few days and was looking forward to really getting out today, but I've got Jason Mraz playing in the background and a list of things I need to get done around the house. Sunday is my day to clean and take care of all the boring chores that I wouldn't do if I didn't specifically schedule them. So in a way, it's nice that it isn't a sunny, warm day. I can do what I need to do and watch the rain and the wind from my windows. If it was sunny, I would probably blow the list off in favor of heading out on the lake or doing something in town.

Laundry is never fun. Cleaning is even less fun. But it needs to get done. That way I won't feel guilty for spending tomorrow out and about.

Assorted things I'm grateful for:
  • getting a really good night's sleep last night
  • that it didn't start pouring rain until I was back inside from my morning walk
  • text messages from my older brother
  • Jason Mraz (It's important to have a good soundtrack on these days.)
  • peach sangria (We made a pitcher last night, and I can't wait to sit down to a nice glass with dinner. So good.)
