So I haven't posted for the last two days. I'm sorry to have failed. Between work, getting ready to move, and driving to Morton to see Lauren's show, I haven't really been thinking about blogging.
However, on the drive back this morning, I got to thinking about several things I'm grateful for.
-Sun. Even when it makes me sweaty and gross and my hands swell so I can't wear my rings, I love the sun. Love love love.
-My state. Seriously. I've lived in the Pacific Northwest my entire life, so I often forget to really look at the huge evergreens and gorgeous mountains and the water. Driving through all of that for several hours in the the past two days made me happy to live here. I really should write about this area, like Skipper encouraged us locals to do.
-Paint. It's no secret that I'm unhappy about moving back in with my parents. But at least that fresh coat of paint in my closet of a room makes it feel a little less like I'm moving back into my childhood.
-Music. I had unusually good luck with the radio on my drive to Morton yesterday. Good songs, fresh air whipping my hair around my face, and beautiful scenery made for a pleasant drive.
-Having a job. I may not like the job, and it made me sad to have to leave friends this morning to get back in time for my shift, but at least I've got a little money coming in, which is more than a lot of people can say.
-Second opinions. I'm thinking specifically of a person who I didn't really like when I first met, but now enjoy spending time around. I rarely change my views of people that drastically, but I'm glad I did this time.
So that's it for now. I'll try and post every day, like I'm supposed to. I'll probably miss a day or two this week since it's moving week, but you'll all forgive me, right?
